Summer is fast approaching so it’s time to step up your tan game. Who doesn’t love to be a bronzed goddess and let’s face it, a tan makes you look and feel great.
With this in mind I am always excited to try a new tan and when I was attending the Professional Beauty Show, Belfast the lovely people at Insanity Tan gave me one of their Dark tanning mousses and mitt to try. I had heard great things about them and with being the official sponsor for the Miss Northern Ireland pageants I knew it had to be worth checking out.
Insanity Tan claims you can achieve sun-kissed perfection with their luxurious bronzing mousse, developed for all skin types and is ideal for those with sensitive skin. For face and body their bronzing mousse is specifically designed to hydrate, calm and soothe and is infused with anti-ageing and anti-oxidant rich white tea extra and aloe vera to ensure a perfect fade which is something quite rare in the tanning market and Insanity Tan can use that to their advantage. Insanity Tan also has a hypoallergenic formula, alcohol free, paraben free and also is vegan friendly and is not tested on animals which is a huge plus.
The tan itself comes in an attractive white and purple bottle and is so easy to pump out onto your mitt. The mousse has an instant colour for ease of application and is extremely easy to spread in and is so quick-drying. I literally had my tan applied and dried in less than a few minutes. Unlike other tans it did not go smudgy or patchy looking whilst developing.
Its developing time is usually best over an eight hour period. On the first application I did leave it to develop overnight and on the second application I put it on after my shower one morning and went to work. What I loved about this tan was that there is no horrible smell whilst it is developing, it is an odourless tan and it gave me an insanely gorgeous glow whilst it was developing.
The overall result of my tans is just incredible. I have dry skin and am quite fair. I usually go for dark tans which can sometimes leave me looking a little bit orange but Insanity Tan left my skin looking like I had spent a few months in the Med. After I had showered, my skin felt so smooth and hydrated which is quite rare for me as I usually have to cover myself in body lotion before I feel my skin is smooth and glowing.
My tan looked great for around 4 days then it faded evenly. It wore off quite well apart from my toes and ankles but that was down to me wearing specific type of sandals which would have rubbed at the tan more. Scrubbing the remaining tan away was easy, unlike other tans this was not stubborn to remove and then I was ready for a new application. I have been using it for a fortnight now and have had so many compliments on how natural the tan looks and everyone presumed I had been away on holiday.
Overall I am so pleased with Insanity Tan and it really does deliver stunning tanning results.
